You as a Global Leader is a series of courses designed to enhance everyone’s journey into BECOMING a generative leader and creating new futures for themselves, their communities, and their societies.

Everyone a Leader is a one-day, version of You as a Leader.  It is a transformational leadership education program designed to make people more aware that leadership stems from "self".  

Upon completion, a participant can 

Break from past limitations/stories using a repeatable process
Create and adopt conversational practices that stimulate coordinated action and improved results
Shift contexts in order to find new and more innovative solutions
If taken as an organization, it establishes a common language, thus allowing teams to be more productive. 

Small group coaching is offered as an option following the in-person sessions.  

Everyone a Leader is now available ONLINE through Zoom and through Canvas, a learning management system!  The Zoom version has five 75 to 90-minute sessions.  The Canvas version is self-paced and includes two coaching sessions and four learning community calls.

You as a Global Leader (YAGL) is a workshop where people engage in lively conversations and exercises. It is designed to create a journey into BECOMING a generative leader and creating a future for yourself and your community beyond the expected. The course is based on the well-researched Appreciative Inquiry model.

In three to four, days participants discover, dream, and design new paths to personal transformation and the fulfillment of an impactful project.

The workshop will:

• Give you freedom from limitations that may be holding you back
• Have you become the architect of your life and leadership journey
• See new opportunities to accelerate your impact

The workshop creates new insights into:

• Leading as a way of being
• Engaging with a team to deepen accountability and commitment
• Creating and adopting practices that engender value
• Embodying what you care about into your leadership
• Shifting context through listening and questions

This course explores shifting perspectives and, therefore, influence to becoming more global. Being global is about shifting a myopic focus on an issue as strictly local to a community and viewing it as part of a world issue. Participants are challenged to take on global thought leadership.

Being global encourages participants to play a bigger game. By articulating life’s values and purpose and designing a future path to higher levels of leadership impact, YAGL deepens the sense of who one is becoming as a leader.

Ten coaching sessions, extending over several months, guide the participants to embody new behaviors and achieve results beyond expectations.

The workshop creates new insights into –

• Leading as a way of being
• Engaging with a team to deepen accountability and commitment
• Creating and adopting practices that engender value
• Embodying what you care about into your leadership
• Shifting context through listening and questions

Ten coaching sessions, extending over several months, guide the participants to embody new behaviors and achieve results beyond expectations.

You are a candidate for becoming a workshop leader if you are -

• Passionate about creating generative leaders (people within your own company/community and those you consult with, etc.)?
• Interested in being someone who leads others to play their bigger game?
• Wanting to have a major impact on transforming society, including large and small organizations?

The selection criteria include–

• Commitment to effecting society as a whole and to your own personal transformation
• Determination to complete all course work and use it to affect your community
• Availability to fully participate LIVE online with others in classwork and discussions
• Willingness to be open and share personal experiences, feelings, etc.

The workshop leader education process will take place in five steps :

• Participating in the three-day course
• Being coached in applying the principals of the course to your current life
• Learning how to lead each module of YAGL and to be an effective facilitator
• Filming practice sessions for each module and conducting two full pilot courses
• Strengthening any weak areas

Completing these five steps successfully results in certification.

This entire process will take from nine to ten months with bi-weekly sessions and various feedback sessions with other participants and the faculty. This includes the coaching on the original YAGL materials as well as coaching on learning to lead each topic.
